While we did not make it to Venice, since we have been there so many times, I thought I would share some pictures that Matti Chan posted from his trip.  It truly is a magical city, and we have always enjoyed our times there.

 Portofino, Italy Not being familiar with Portofino, we really did not have any specific expectations.  However, it did not disappoint at all.  It was a charming, quaint little village, with the yachts to go with it.  Not inexpensive but we would love to come back to visit for more than a day. We took a trip to Santa Margherita Ligure and what a charming city it was.  This is the Villa Albi hotel, one of the high-end places to stay there. The Basilica of Santa Maria - Santa Margharita Checkout the hot tub on the yacht!  and the slide! This is Hannibal's bridge in Rapallo Italy, one of the cities we visited today. Great lunch today.  Perfect for us... The countryside as we drove through the different towns This was a small church that is normally closed, but the caretaker allowed us in to see the beautiful crucifixes and crosses. Singapore 4/24/24

Singapore  Another welcoming committee as we disembarked the ship.  And a picture from our balcony as we arrived in port in the morning.   How we wish that we had more time in Singapore! What an amazing city!!  And such a short time here 6.5 hours but you will see we packed it in...We rented a small minivan for 10 people, and followed the advice of a fellow passenger who was from Singapore.    We started out at the Singapore Changi Airport terminal.  Mickey had been reading about what a fabulous terminal it was and how much he wanted to see it, so the group was all in.  It was a fabulous building, featuring an indoor waterfall that was magnificent.  Problem was, we got there at 9 am, and the fountain did not turn on till 11 am.  So, we had to come back later to see it in action.  It was worth the 2nd trip and thankfully it was close to the port - we cut this one close.   Our next stop was Garden's by the Bay.  I canno...

Hong Kong 3/28/24

  Hong Kong Day 2 So we are off once again to a full day to experience more of what Hong Kong has to offer... here we go We started off our day going to the fishing village of Tai O, in search of pink dolphins.... while we didn't get to see them, we did learn that about 5 years ago there were 100 dolphins and now they are down to about 50.  They are actually Chinese white dolphins, but their color is pink.  It was a charming fishing village with lots of street vendors selling local food stuffs.  We got their version of a beignet, and it was a pretty good substitute.  It is a bit like stepping back in time.  Their houses are built on stilts and are interconnected, forming a very tight knit community.  Street art was also quite prevalent and adds to the charm of the village.
