Hong Kong at Night 3/27.8/24
Hong Kong at Night
After our whirlwind day tour, we got back to the ship just in time to grab a quick snack and drink, and I did my nightly ritual with my lymphedema pump, as I know we were going to be out late for our Hong Kong at night tour.
We started the night out heading to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront outside the Hong Kong Cultural Center, considered the best viewing spot for the Symphony of Lights laser show. It is billed as one of the best laser shows and while we enjoyed it, Disney light shows beat it by far. Our guide said that since Covid-19, which shut it down as no one was coming to watch it, the quality of the show has diminished greatly. Hopefully it gets back to its peak performance.
From there, we headed back to Victoria's Peak to view the city - we were a little worried as the fog was still hanging around and wondered if we would have a view at all.... take a look and see that we were rewarded with a spectacular evening!!!
Heading to the Peak, getting ready to board the tram to the top...
Leaving Hong Kong was magical. The local authorities allow our ship to cruise through the city - very much like Venice used to allow cruise ships on the Grand Canal. This was an exception made only for our ship and it was a lovely way to say goodbye to a fascinating city...
Heading into the sunset
And so we head out of port.... (Photos courtesy of Telah Morrison)
